1.0 Spread Betting Platform Trading Screen
Online Platform Help Guide: Trading Account Management
The spread betting platform trading screen allows you to view real time prices, place trades, place orders, check your account information and view news, charts, research and corporate events. The trading screen is split into four panels: Pricing, Deal, Account Summary and Information.
On each toolbar within the panels there are up to three options, located on the top right hand side of the toolbar. The options are as follows.
Help
By clicking on the help option, the help files for that panel are displayed.
Spreadsheet
The spreadsheet option allows you to export any information in the panel to an external database.
Collapse
The collapse option allows you to minimise the panel. Clicking on the collapse option will reduce the panel to just the toolbar.
When the account summary panel has been minimised, only the toolbar and the maximise icon on the right hand side of the toolbar are displayed.
To maximise the trading platform panel you can either click on the toolbar or the maximise icon. Alternatively, by double clicking on the toolbar, the panel will only be displayed whilst the curser is located within the panel.
Clicking the deal button will activate the deal panel with the details of the bet.
Clicking on the order button will raise an order ticket for the instrument selected.
Description
Displays the name of the market you have selected.
Clear Ticket Button
You can clear the ticket details by clicking on the "Clear Ticket" button. The Deal Ticket will become inactive.
Force Open
The force open check box subjects the trade to force open conditions.
Stop/Limit boxes
Stops/Limits can be attached to a trade by entering the stop or limit levels.
Buy/Sell buttons
Trades are sent using the buy/sell buttons embedded in the ticket, they contain real time prices that represent the price you can deal at.
Secured SL
Clicking on the Secured SL check box will secure any orders you have placed on the trade. Secured SL orders incur a charge for Direct and Premium account holders which is displayed in the prompt text. Click on the (i) icon for that market in the pricing panel for information on secured stop charges.
